The Huntington Library and Gardens covers almost 120 acres and 15,000 species of plants and flowers. Needless to say, a day trip will only whet your appetite for the beauty that is available to photograph. The main focus of this workshop will be on macro floral photography, but opportunities for your other lenses will be available. Learn the secrets to capturing light, composition, color balance and textures to have an image that goes beyond the ordinary.

Meet in at the front entrance gates promptly at 10:30 a.m. Your entrance fee is not included in tuition, and will collected by the Huntington at the entrance. Adults - $15, Seniors (65+) - $12, Students with I.D. - $10.

My goal is to teach you the difference between "taking a picture" and creating a fine art photograph. I emphasize the techniques of using your camera settings properly to get the shot right during capture. Photoshop is a wonderful tool for all kinds of fine-tuning and creative techniques, and I use it everyday. However, I would rather be out in the field shooting than sitting in front of the computer fixing mistakes so I want to get the best possible shot in camera. I assume you do too. I hope to send you home with a new vision of the natural world as well as being a more capable photographer.

Workshop payment may be made by credit card, direct deposit, or debit card through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make a payment. If you prefer, you may send a personal check. Be aware, however, that your place in the workshop is not secured until the check clears. The Gina Genis Photo Workshops space is limited to provide as much personal attention as possible, so reserve your place early. Non-photographing guests are welcome to attend for and additional $50. Please email me, and I will adjust your tuition accordingly. If you are unable to attend, and cancel your reservation one month prior to your workshop date, I will gladly refund your registration fee, minus a $50 processing fee. There are no refunds after that.
