DIGITAL Equipment:

***SLR Digital Camera 8mp or larger (any make, but Gina is most familiar with Canon)

***Lenses: Macro, Zoom Wide Angle, Zoom or fixed Telephoto

***Sturdy Tripod

***Shutter Release

***Circular Polarizer (filter)

***CF Card: Sandisk 4 gig Extreme III or IV preferred, but any other comparable brand is ok. Just make sure it can write fast! Word of advice here--you get what you pay for.

***Computer and a way to transfer your images to your computer. You will need this to present your images for critique. Photoshop CS or CS2 (preferred). You do not need to know how to use photoshop. I will show you how to edit and enhance your images to get the best results.

Recommended Clothing:

The most important item to bring is a pair of comfortable shoes. A sole with a good grip is recommended. I especially like Keen shoes.

Pants with lots of pockets. Cargo pants are great because you can utilize all the pockets with small gear such as filters, lens caps, etc. A pair of Cargo capris for women and long shorts for men will be comfortable also. Old Navy always has a good selection. A photographer's vest or fishing vest is a good idea if you don't have pants with pockets.

Short and long sleeve t-shirts. Be prepared for warm weather and to protect yourself from the sun.

One light weight jacket is a good idea in case the evening cools off.

Soft brim shade hat. Soft brims work best because you can flip the brim up when you have your camera up to your eye.

Suntan lotion with mosquito repellent in it.
